1025 CARTER - HARRISON POWELL HURT - Seeking proof that Jesse CARTER of
Virginia and Jane HURT CARTER of North Carolina, both of 1860-1870 Gilmer,
Upshur Co., Texas, are the parents of Susan CARTER HARRISON POWELL of 1870 RUSK
Co., Texas, and 1880-1908 Henderson Co., Texas. Susan bought land in Upshur Co.
from Jesse CARTER in 1863 and sold it in 1880. "J. H." CARTER was the administrator
of the estate of Jane. CARTER, deceased, in 1874 in Upshurt Co. Family
tradition says CARTER family members are buried in Enon Cemetery in Upshur Co.
Need proof for lineage papers for DAR and Colonial Dames XVII Century.

1026 -FARR - FRIDAY - TAYLOR - URY/MURRAY - BLACKMAN - ELLIS - Seeking info
on Adaline TAYLOR FRIDAY and husband, FRIDAY. Daughter Ada Susan
FRIDAY married William Alonzo FARR ca 1900 and had four children: Raymond
Wesley, Eva D. and Zelda B. (twins), and Fredrick H. and lived in Tyler.
Adaline FRIDAY's first husband was John TAYLOR; son Rufus Henry TAYLOR, born
1857 Douglas, Nacogdoches, Texas, died 1945, Burke, Texas. John TAYLOR, born
Alabama, died January 1863 in Civil War battle off Galveston Island when troop
ship was blown out of water. Adaline TAYLOR FRIDAY later married (3)
ELLIS, and supposedly died under that name, buried near Crockett in Pennington
with Eastern Star headstone (no confirmation or headstone located). Her maiden
name was MURRY/MURRAY or BLACKMAN, born in Germany or Mississippi in 1830's,
possibly a schoolteacher. Any info will be appreciated.

1027 - BARRON - TUCKER - THOMPSON - Would like to correspond with descendants of
Thomas Jefferson BARRON, born 1834, died 1878, and his wife, Sarah Isabel TUCKER,
born 1836, died 1904. Both are buried at New Harmony, Smith Co., Texas. Also,
would like to exchange information with descendants of Sarah I. BARRON's parents,
Daniel Peterson TUCKER and Wilmuth Lumsden THOMPSON. Daniel died in 1893 and
Wilmuth died in 1900. Both are buried at Mt. Sylvan, Smith Co., Texas. Any help
will be appreciated.

Adair Anderson, the following information with individual pictures: B. F. REEVES
and wife, 91 and 88 years old, married March 7, 1844. They had eight children,
four of which are living. Couple married over seventy years. Sent to The SemiWeekly
Farm News, Friday, May 1, 1914, by R. MADDEN, Mt. Enterprise, Rusk Co., TX.
