Answer: At Fains Chapel on the 9th and 10th of July next.
Question 10: Is there any other business to come before this Conference?
Answer: The Preacher in Charge nominated the following persons to
constitute a board of Trustees to receive a Deed to a parcel
of ground for church purposes for the use and benefit of the
M. E. Church, South: _ McDonald, J. N. Henry, Thomas Payne,
Temple, Joel Fain which was confirmed by the Conference.

Brother John Redwine tendered his resignation as Steward which was received
and Brother Solomon Herbrough was elected to fill his place. Minutes read
and adopted and on motion Conference adjourned with the Benediction.

The Third Session of the quarterly Conference for Kickapoo Circuit,
Palestine District, East Texas Conference met at Fains Chapel on June 25,
1859. The Conference was opened by singing and prayer by J. B. Tullis and
J. C. Freeman was elected Secretary. Members present:

Question 2: Are there any appeals?
Answer: One. Mrs. Nancy Fain of the Society at Fains Chapel, the appellant,
stated her reason for appealing, that she was sick and not
able to procure testimony. The charges specifications and
decision of the committee were then read. On motion the appeal
was entertained The records of the trial were then read.
A motion was made to interrogate the committee with reference
to a lost certificate mentioned in first specification, written by
Nancy Fain to P. W. McElyea. Brother Young asked A. J. McFarlane,
William Herrington and William Evans to state the substance of
said communication on which they said'they could not do.
