A BEDWELL FAMILY, by Larry King, 1982. 7x10, hardbound, 377 pages. Indexed. $25.00.
Order from Larry King, 100 Longview Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075 (Limited printing)
This book is a fine record of fourteen generations of proven Robert Bedwell descendants
in America from 1661 to 1982. It contains over 3,000 family biographies, 143
portraits, and an all name index of Bedwell descendants and their spouses. The
pleasing numbering system is easy to use. Because of the rare surname, it is believed
that a large percentage of all Bedwell's in Ameri(ca descend from Robert Bedwell
of Old Rappahannock (Richmond) County, VA. This well-presented history with
clear photographs includes copies of some original records. If your ancestor was
a Bedwell, you will want one of Mr. King's books.
KEITH KINFOLKS, by Larry King, 1979, 7x10, hardbound, indexed, 363 pages. Order
from Larry King, 100 Longview Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Given by author.
(Limited printing).
This book is a record of James Keith, Sr. and his descendants in America from 1719
to 1979. James Keith Sr. was born in North England about 1720 and was brought to
Virginia as an infant. He settled in what is now Frederick/Shenandoah Counties
area of Virginia and married a Miss Norid. Extensive research has been provided
by Mr. King on this family. The book contains a "Genesis and General History of
the Keiths," 2,715 Keith family biographical sketches, 182 photos, a 16,500 name
index and an outline sketch of the ancient Keith stronghold, Dunnottar Castle in
Kincardineshire, Scotland. The format, arrangement of records by generations, and
the numbering system used are excellent.
PRIVATE LAND CLAIMS - LOUISIANA, by Fern Ainsworth, 1984. 81x11, soft cover, 191
pp. Order from author, 120 Boyd Street, Natchitoches, LA. $15.00.
This volume is a full-name index to the PRIVATE land claims in Louisiana and includes
the docket number of each case and where to obtain copies of the claim for
land. The publically owned land of the United States plays a significant contribution
as a source for the genealogist. The collection of claims for land by citizens
usually had to be proven and these records settled many conflicting claims.
Much genealogical and historical data is included and will be a welcome finding aid
to the Louisiana researcher.

(We apologize for this error and appreciate thl ocppot'l;it-.ly to make a correction.)
