over 200. We had a group of
Hellcats and Kittens that were
out for a good time and they
were not disappointed. The hos-
pitality room was the center of
activity as usual and the whis-
key flowed like buttermilk. Our
Pres. Gil Heine was there and
was having a ball, (he does a
mean Alley-Cat). We missed
our very good buddy Bert
Romano, he passed away the
month before. He was the co-
chairman and he really set up a
great get-to-gether. A great sur-
prise was seeing Bob Lazar for
the first time since the first
reunion in New York back in
1947. We had a long talk and I
admit we got a little carried
away. Bob was in Hq. Co. 714th
and drove one of our assault
guns. All in all, it was a great
week-end and my wife Connie
and I are planning on Orlando
in September. See you there!
Dues and booster from Esther
Baker in memory of her hus-
band, Barney Baker, who pass-
ed away last May 1st.
While attending the North
Central meeting in Eau Claire,
WI our Exec. Sec. (Norb), enter-
ed into conversation with two
brothers. Nick Glumac of CCB
and Stan Glumac of Hq. Co.
714th. Both are members of our
association and both were in
attendance. They both live in
Duluth, MN. It is unusual to
have two brothers together in
the association so many years
after the war.
Already registered for Or-
lando are Othal and Robena
Parsons and Bob and Betty
Head who also sent a booster.
From Melvin Coons a Life Mem-
bership and a booster with a
notation ' M & R Coffee Depot'.
SERVICE COMPANY
Dues and booster from Freda
Beeham, Max Reeder and Ken
Warnes who also has his reg-
istration in for Orlando and the
following regular monthly re-
port:
KEN WARNES - Sv: Well
now that we are approaching
the last Chapter Mini-Reunion
and that being the North-
central Chapter we will attend,
I will have to say it sure was a
great turn out and would you
believe there were 110 Hellcats,
Hellkittens and guests and boy
if anyone went hungry it was
their own fault as it was family
style and you could eat until
you burst if you so desired. We
have to thank Ray Pieterick
and Betty, also Howard and
Irene Murphy 92nd and 134th
respectfully and their wonder-
ful helpers for a great time. Inez
and I want to thank Walt Thomp-
son 134th for picking us up at
the Minneaspolis/St. Paul Am-
trak depot and taking us with
him to Eau Claire. It sure was
an enjoyable ride after a nice
breakfast before leaving town.
We did ride back to Devils Lake,
ND with Doris and Marlin
Pulst, Div. Hqs. and spent a
day with them and caught Am-
trak from there the following
morning at 6:30 A. M. We sure
had a nice time all the way to
Seattle.
Well it is on to Orlando the
next stop and a week before
that we will arrive in Chicago
and spend some time and then
go out to Aurora and attend
Inez's 45th Class Reunion from
East Aurora H. S. I hope to see
a lot of Service Company
Hellcats and Hellkittens in Or-
lando. One of these reunions we
will have to have a lot more
than normal. How about it Hell-
kittens lets get him out of the
easy chair, also if he will not
drop me, or Dick Iverson a line
or two, to let other Sv. Co.
Hellcats know what is going
on, then how about you doing it
for him. O.K.??? We should
have a bang up time in Orlando
and it would be a lot more
enjoyable if you folks would be
with us, sooo why not make
your plans now, what say can
we count on you??? I hope so.
I received a nice letter from
Max Reeder and I would like to
share it with you. Max writes:
Dear Ken: "It was sure good to
hear from you. I have no good
reason for not renewing my
membership. (Just neglect and
