SCHOOL OF PAINTING AND DRiAWING.
This will be under the management of a trained and
skillful teacher. Pupils will be taught the true idea of
form and color. Drawing and painting from real objects
will be encouraged. If students have talent for this branch
of study, they will have a chance here to develop it.
COMMERCIAL SCHOOL.
We will have, in connection with the College, a Commercial
Department, in which students can acquire a practical
Business education. Individual instruction will be given to
EACH pupil.
The course will embrace theoretical and Practical Bookkeeping,
Commercial Arithmetic, English Composition,
Business Writing, Business Correspondence, and Business
Law for Business Men. This will not be an inedpendent
school, but a part of the College Course, whenever the student
wants to take it.
The teacher who will have charge of this department is
a graduate from the Commercial University of Rochester.
New York. and has been a practical accountant for years.
TERMS OF ADMISSION.
Anyone applying for admission will be examined as to
former attainments: will be furnished with a copy of the
College Laws; and will be required to sign the following
pl)omise.
MATRICULATION PLEDG1E.
Wishing to become a student of Simmons College, I hereby
acknowledge myself subject to its laws, and promise on
my honor, to obey such as are now in force, or that may
hereafter be enacted, and that I will use my utmost endeavor
to uphold and maintain the same as long as I continue a
student in the College.
