Capt. and Mrs. Otice Van Hooser
and girls, Shirley and Paula, went
to Holdenville, Okla., over the
weekend to visit Mrs. Van Hooser's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Smith,
who celebrated their thirty-fifth
wedding anniversary. There was
a family dinner and also open
house on Sunday.
Mrs. Pauline Moon is in Baylor
Hospital where she had neuro-
surgery Tuesday afternoon. Phy-
sicians say that it will be Sunday
or Monday before she can receive
visitors.
Mrs. Juanita Woodward was
re-admitted to Methodist Hos-
pital last Thursday. She has been
very sick but is showing improve-
ment this week.

Twins Celebrate EXES...
84th Birthday
DUNCANVILLE
Twins celebrate their eighty-
fourth birthday Sunday. Mrs. Delia
Sims and Mrs. Ella Sims observed
Oct. 16 as the big day with 74
coming for dinner, and 20 more
coming by afterwards—and all
were members of their families.
Among the relatives attending
were seven children, twenty grand-
children, and 23 great-grandchil-
dren.

Word was received here this
week that J. M. Beaty, former
owner of Beaty Cafe, suffered a
light heart attack and is hos-
pitalized at Palls,, near Levelland,
where he and Mrs. Beaty were
visiting. It is expected that he
will have to remain in the hos-
pital for only a week, and then
after two more weeks bed rest in
Palls, he will be able to return
home to Grand Prairie.
