Manukactoking the beat Scale in the
world, and making It a point to spare no
expense in order to maintain the reputa-
tiou pequired during a prosperous career
of over forty years, the Messrs. Fairbanks
atvalways foil ot orders. Their business
thus far this year is largely in excess of
tha aame period in 1873. Among their
orders in January was one .for twelve
Railroad Track Scales. Last week the
Company made -eight hundred Scalea.
They also purchased for immediate deliv-
ery seven hnmdrvd tons pig iron ; but at
the rate the furnaces are now consuming
iroo, this amount will last less thau two
months. On Monday of this week they
reoeived an order from Chicago for twenty
two five-bundred-bushel Hopper Scalea'

Nature's Cathartic.
No medicine is needed to keep the bow-
els in order as nature's cathartic, the bilo,
flews freely and regularly from its source
in tbe liver, aud is of the right strength
and quality. But the greut biliary gland is
eatily disordered, and tbe couBeqnences of
its irregularities are serious. To bring it
back to its natural condition when thus
afiected, Hostetter's Stomach Bitters
should be taken at least twice a day until
the disired object is attained. Constipa-
tion is duo to a scant supply of bile, or to
a lack of the stimulating element in that
tin id. In either case mere purgation is
useless. The liver must be compelled to
yield tpe supply of the bile necessary to
remove the waste matter from the system
at least once in twenty-four hours before
a radical enre of costiveness can be accom,
plished. Hostetter's Bitters produces this
effect. Its action upon the stomach and
liver is direct and salutary, and though
thefe orpans it regulates and invigorates
th« whole frame.

Yooflg American Liniment.
THIS Liniment has gained a lasting re-
putation, where it has been used, in
most cases which require an external ram
edy. such as rheumatism, soreness and
swelling of the breast, pain and weakness
in tha back and joints, sprains, bruiser
cramps, nnmbneas, frozen limbs, bites >4
insects, old sotes, fever sores, goitre or
swelled neck, paralysis, wonnds, erysipe-
las, bites of reptiles, headache, white
swellings, mange, poison, burns, all swel-
lings, salt rheum, corns, warts, sore eyes,
mn-roonds, &c. We daily hear of the
most astonishing enres on animals by this
excellent remedy, and hazard nothing in
saying that there never has been its eqna
as a curative for horses. Wo assert posi-
tively that it will enre any case of sweeny
in existence ; also splint, galls, sprains or
strains, bruises, scratches, wounds, big
head, wind galls, sore eyes, swellings, 4c.;
and has never failed to cure fistula, poll-
evil. ring-bone and spavin. When used in
the beginning, strictly according to direc-
tions, and given internally with the food,
it is a harmless but eertain remedy for
worms. Do not fail to give it a trial: only
85 cent* a bottle.
Horse E|»id •nie.—This Liniment
enred thousands t>. horses at the North
during the prevalence of the horse dis-
temper there. In such eases rub tha neck
and throat well every evening, and give a
table spoonful of it in tho hors«'s food for
two or three evenings.
