Housekeepers who have what they
call "awful bad luck" with the house-
hold crockery arc very well pleased
with the present craze for odd dishes,
as it is next to impossible to spoil a
set. The more a rich man's table par-
takes of the appearance of the table
of a cheap boarding house the more
{esthetic it is.

\*"\Yise men say nothing iu dangerous
limes." Wise men use nothing in danger-
ous diseases but the best and most approved
remedies. Thus Kidney-Wort is employed
universally in cases of diseased liver, kid-

triile to try it, and the result will be most
delightful.
The European cattle diseases, ac-

A Lute Evidence of Refinement
Is a row of well polished teeth. People of
vulgar instincts are very apt to torget
1 heirs. Cleanliness demands careful atten-
tion to the teeth, and experience indicates
boxodont as the safest and surest means of
retrieving their losses of beauty and vigor.
It removes impurities upon and between
them; imparts to sott or shrivelled gums
the hardness v.nd rosiaess of coral; makes
the breath fragrant and lends to feminine
lips an additional charm.
Scouring mittens which save the
hands very much are made of rub-
ber cloth, two sizes larger than an
ordinary mitten, without any thumb,
and and are stitched two rows with
the machine oil the wrong side and
then turned. Put it ou when about
to scour tins.

Just open the door for her and Mrs. Wins-

Nigutiugale of the Nursery. Of this we are
so sure that we will teach our "Susy" to
say, "A blessing ou Mrs. Wiuslow" for
helping her to survive and escape the grip-

Winslow's Soothing Syrup relieves the child
from pain, ann cures' dysentery and diar-

fant safely through the teething period. It
perforins precisely what it professes to per-

have never'seeu Mrs. Winslow—know her
only through the preparation of her Sooth-

physical saviour to the human race. Sold

"And now she is restored to us in good
health by as simple a remedy as Hop Bit-

A corre8ponden,, speaking of the
defacement of paint by the iuadver-

says thas he has observed that when
one mark has been made others fol-

this, rub the spot with flannel saturat-

that people may try to strike their
matches there as much as they like,
they will neither get a light nor "injure i
the paint, and, most singularly," the'
