Abilene Christian College has enjoyed a marvelous growth during
the last few years. For two years she has enjoyed the highest rank
accorded to Junior Colleges in Texas. The management of the. institution
is not satisfied with past accomplishments and has caught the
vision of greater things. The school makes no apology for leaving
the ranks of the Junior Colleges to join hands and heart with the
Senior Colleges. Abilene Christian College is not dissatisfied with
the company she has been keeping; but she believes that she may
function in the educational system of Texas more fully by offering
this additional work.
Abilene Christian College stands for the full rounded education of
young men and young women-such training as will embrace the development
of the entire being. The management feels that any education
that does not take into consideration the physical, the intellectual
and the spiritual is defective. To this end, the school is consecrated
to the accomplishment of this triple training under all those influences
that constitute genuine Christian education. The college, therefore,
covets earnestly its share of this great work for our times and race.
It desires a part in the erection and establishment of forceful Christian
ideals in the minds and lives of young men and young women. The
college hopes to reach many and to inspire them to the noblest and
best living for society, for the State, for the family, and for the
Church.
