General Home Economics
A degree in general home economics provides an excellent background
for fulltime homemaking or graduate study in home economics/family
studies. General home economics graduates are often
employed in positions calling only for a college degree. General home
economics majors who carefully select electives are equipped for
many entry-level jobs in business and industry. This degree does not
meet certification requirements for teaching home economics.
