PRAlRImQUEEN TRA
TO BE DEMONSTRATED ON
TOMORROW AND SATURDAY
Much interest is centering around
the demonstration of the Prairie
Queen Tractor Company's first manu-
factured machine which is to take
placejn front of Wedemeyer Academy
on the Temple-Belton pike Friday and
Saturday. The Chamber of Com-
merce haslbffered to provide a means
of conveyance to everyone who wishes
to see this big demonstration. Any-
one who has no way to go is Invited to
phone S98 and call for Mr. Spencer,
who will furnish conveyance.
. The following letter is being mailed
out this week by 1he company an-
nouncing the demonstration:
"Dear Sir. It la with much pride
that the directors of the Prairie Qucon
Tractor Company can now make the
announcement that they have nor-
tec ted a Model Farm Tractor and will
give a public demonstration of same
on Friday and Saturday of this veek.
"We are frank to say that right now
is the most critical period in the life
of this young company. Therefore, we
need the co-operation of every Temple
booster to help this new industrial en-
terprise go over the top.
"We do not mean by thla'that wo
wish to force any of this stock on auy-
one who does not want It. (Though
you should want it), because Temple
has been crying for industrial institu-
tions for years and no* that you have
the opportunity of Investing in a pure-
ly heme company, with men behind
it that you know and who have their
homes here, pay taxes and spend their
money here, and who expect to build
an industrial Institution that is bound
to grow in leaps and bounds from tne
very start until it beoomes one of the
leading enterprises of' Central Texas.
"Not only that, but as the plant- Cattle, however, increased from 1J
grows, pay rolls will grt>w with it and
thus help to increase the circulation
of money through every channel of
business in our town.
"Now we have paid all of this, be
cause Temple is our home and we feel
that Temple business men are our
friends and after all what we really
want most is that you make it a point
to be with us on demonstration days
and help us boost the sale of stock for
if Temple does not want a real in-
dustrial plant here, we shall be oblig-
od to loolf. for a town that will give
us their support.
Yours respectfully,
"PRAIRIE QUEEN TRACTOR CO.
