Promoter at Dallas and Has Made
Investigations Along the
Route.

Dallas, Tex., April 22.— 11. M. Hy-
att, representative of the Umpire Con-
struction Company of i-"t. Louis, Is in
Dallas organizing a company to build
an lnterurban railroad line from Dal-
las to Cleburne. Mr. Hyatt states that
the organization of the company will
be completed at a meeting of those
interested Friday night, a charter se-
cured and work begun in earnest on
the project.
"The route practically decided up-
on," said Mr. Hyatt yesterday, "if
from Dallas west to Kagle Ford, pass-
ing near the two cement plants and
Gates. Then the road will go direct-
ly west to Grand Prairie, th»n turn-
ing south and passing through Webb,
Mansfield, Lillian, Pleasnnj Point,
Alvarado, Mosston and then to Cle-
burne,
"Prominent business men in Dal-
las, Cleburne and other places along
itihe route are being interested in Hie
enterprise and »e will effect aerftja-
lient organization Friday night.
"Briefly, my plan is this: I lipve
the assurance of St. lxjuis financial
interests to underwrite the honds ne-
cessary to complete the line, provid-
e d$350,000 is raised by citizens
along the line. This $350,000 will
be in preferred stock with Interest
guaranteed at ti per cent. The con-
trol of the company ywill be lodged
in the business men who form the
organization Friday night.

Citizens to Formally Observe Comple-
tion of the Santa Fe's Line.

Floyydada, Tex., April 22.—Ar-
rangements have been completed for

excursion rates to Floydada from all
points on the Santa Fe, for the cele-
bration of the completion of its line
to thig city which will take place on
the night of May 6th and the day
following, and there will be gala
times here to commemorate the en-
trance of the first passenger train
into this little city, the terminus in
the eastern middle plains.
Every effort will be made to enter-
tain the big crowd expected, speakers
of State-wide reputations being on
the program, as well as trades and
stock displays, band concerts, danc-
ing and other pleasures including au-
to trips over, the plains.

who reside in the country should be
