MANY CONTESTANTS WORKING
The Daily Telegram's Big Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollar Contest is now on with quite a number of contestants entered, and with flatter-
ing prospects for a successful campaign, notwithstanding the adverse weather conditions. In order to liven things up a bit, and to give some of the
workers a chance to make some expense money for the strenuous work that is to come, we offer as an extra prize for this week, $50.00 in sold, to be
awarded as follows: $25.00 to the contestant in District No. 1 who finishes the first week of the contest at the head of the list, and the same in dis-
trict No. 2. The winners to be announced Sunday morning next, and the money to be paid over Monday morning. . " '
Contestants are hereby notified that there will be week-end prizes of different sizes and kinds awarded each week during the life of the
■ontest, but the winning of these weekly prizes will have no effect on the final award at the end of the contest. You may win a week-end prize
-y week, and also win the capital, or other large prizes. In other words, the winning of a week-end prize deducts nothing from the number of
held bv a contestant. These little weekly prizes are offered merely to break the monotony of the long campaign.

Prospective contestants will please remember that t|e nomination will not close for several days yet and there is still time to get into the
e. While quite an extensive list of entries were published Sunday morning, quite a number of them were nominated by friends without their
, and many of them will not enter the race. It is expected that the list of real, active contestants will finally drop down to a couple of dozen, in
[event there will be prizes and fat commissions for all. Don't stand back on account of the dry weather, it will soon rain: neither on account
(ilarge number of entries, many of them will drop out, or never start at all. Nominate yourself or friend now and get in on' some of the
prizes, and the big ones at the close of the contest.
The standing of the contestants will be published next Sunday, and the first "spoils of war" will be divided the Monday morning following.
