KIWANIS CLUB PRESENTS SCHOLARSHIP—Mr. Eugene Lefler, representing
the Irish Village Kiwanis Club, presents a $200 check to Mr. Charles A. Wiley,
Tech Bank Director. The money for the band scholarship was derived from the
sale of tickets to the performance of the U. S. Marine Band here Oct. 7, sponsored
by the Irish Village Kiwanis Club. The amount of the scholarship was doubled
from the original plans due to the cooperation of the band members in the ticket
sales for the concert. Lamar President F. L. McDonald, far left, and Capt. P. L.
