taken the fatal drug in one of his
numerous drinks, and Anders
started home. About 11 o'clock
the young men had reached a point
in front of the saloon at 2,828
Broadway, kept by H Vallerott,
who refused to give Frank aoy
liquor, as be was already
stupid from spirits or the
poison.
Staggering to some empty boxes
on the sidewalk in front of the
store, they sank down upon them
end, supporting one another, were
eoon unconscious. Anders was too
far gone and too drowsy to under
stand the oondition of his oompan
ion and there lying on the box
Wilhelmy died. Wm. Wilhelmy,
the boy's father, said that Frank
was always treated too good and
committed the act because he was
troubled about the girl at Batt>
bach, Germany. The dead man
has lived witn Dora Manley as her
husband at No. 8161-2 South

was unknown to hie parents.

she was alowed to enter and she

Mrs. Dean, formerly the widow
of General Hunt, now the wife of
Dr. Ch*e. W. Dean, who was ar-
rested by the polioe authorities in
Washington, D C., last Monday,
is now preparing to seek a divorce
from her husband. Mrs. Dean
met the doctor at a hospital in
Philadelphia last summer, be-
came infatuated by his address
and appearance, and finally mar-
ried him. She wae a patient in
the institution at the time and
Dean became very attentive. Mrs.
Dean had inherited quite a nice
little sum from her first husband,
and the doctor, knowing this,
worked on her feelings with a
long *tory of his misfortunes, and
pity in the widow's case soon
ripened into love, and they were
made one. The secre* of the doc-
tor 0^da*otlG"n was soon, however,
made apparent to his newly made
wife, "^ean had no money; even
the expenees of the bridal trip be.
ng liquidated by Mrs. Dean.
Upon returning to Philadelphia
more money was advanced to start
a drug store, and so, little by lit-
tle, the money dwindled away,
until finally Dean wanted his wife
to mortgage her home. This waB
too much, she refused, and he
fled to Washington, where be en-
listed in the government service
under an assumed name. Mr?.
Dean followed him and caused his
oapture.
