July when no one wants dress goods. We believe, and make it a rule, that early re-
ductions produce the quickest results.
Commencing Monday, May 4th, we will begin a bargain clearing sale and will continue
same until stock is sold. All departments will participate. X

The King's Daughters.
There will be a meeting of the
King's Daughter's at the Y. M.
C. A. rooms this afternoon at 4
o'cloctc. Will the King's Daugh-
ters bear this in mind, and will
you when you read this no-
tice rememember the pledge
you took at the beginning of this
organization and show your loyal-
ty to your King by meeting your
circle at the specified time and
place! On account of the pledge
you have taken you can not say
you have withdrawn. Once a
King's Daughter always one.
Then be a true daughter. A re-
sponsibility rests upon you that
you can not throw off. Simply
wearing the cross will not suffice.
You must be up and doing. Some
phases of the work are not ac-
ceptable to all; you are not oblig-
ed to take it up. There are other
duties we can engage in. Let us
keep abreast with the work of our
■sisters all over the land. We
wi«h it might be said of our circle:
Many daughters have done well,
but thou excellest them all.
