▲boat twenty years ago I discovered a little sore on my cheek, and the doctors pro-
nounced It cancer. I have tried a number of physicians, but wlthctot receiving any perma-

was like Are to the sore, causing intense pain. I saw a statement In the papers telling what

tha Becond bottle the neighbors could notice that my eancer was healing up. My general
health hod been bud for two or throe years-1 had a hackiug cough am* spit blood contin-
ually. I had a severe pain in my breast. After taking six bottles of 8. S. a my cough left
me and I grew atontcr than I had been for several years. My canccr has healed over all but
a little spot about tl*e siae of a half dime, and it is rapidly disappearing. 1 would advlso
every one with cancer to give 8. 8. 8. a fair trial.

Many Locations Suggested—A Strong
Petition Circulating Among
the llhsliicHH Men.
Numerous business men have been
interviewed by the Timij> on I ho subject
of location. The weight of opinion In in |lr
favor of a location near (lie business
center of the city, and that center la
generally conceded to be about the cor-
ner of El I'aso and Han Antonio streets.
The corner opposite the sinte National
Bank is probablylhe favorite, but it is
supposed to be held at a tlgure beyond
the reach of the government agent.
Many leading citizens, however, say
that the best site should lie scoured al-
most regardless of cost. The conven-
ience of the public Is held to be the par-
amount consideration, to which all
others should bow, The buiii available
for the purchase of a site, accord-
ing to tho rulo generally fol-
lowed In such cases, is ten
percent, of the total appropriation for
the building which In this case would
be *11?,000. However, the government j 0(B(.f ln „5gn() „,ock]
often breaks this rule where the proper
site cannot be secured for lite regular
proportion of the appropriation. ;
The business meu whose interests lie j
mainly west of El Paso street, or so as,
to be equally advanced by the location
of the building on either side of El Paso j
street, are making ft determined effort
to get a site selected west of El Paso
street. A petition was circulated yes-
terday, urging that tho 'building should
be located not more than one block from
El Paso street, but sayingnothing about
the direction. If the direction is not
to be considered, the building*
will certainly go west of El Paso street,

as twenty locations are offered and pos-
sibly more.
The sites are located widely apart In
many cases, from the neighborhood of
the court house to three or four blocks
west of El Paso street, and from the
railroad south to Second street. Mr.
Joe Scbutz offers the lot immediately in
the rear of his store, now occupied by
his warehouse. The lot coiners on two
streets, San Francisco and Santa Fe.and
on a 20 foot alley. It is 120x200 feet,
and high enough to insure good drain-
age.
Mr, Bailey, on behalf of Messrs. Cros-
by, Emerson & Berrien, liaggs and oth-
ers, offers the east half of lot 181, Mills'
map, facing 120 feet on the north side of
Second street, and 2t>0 feet on the west
side of Oregon street.
Judge Crosby offers any one of four
possible sites in the block fronting on
West Overland, between Santa Fe and
Chihuahua streets, owned by Judge
Crosby, Judge Magoffln and Blum &
Marx.
Mr. Z. White offers two sites, one be-
ing the northeast corner on West Over-
land and Santa Fe street, and the other
directly back of the Davis block. It is
proposed, In case the latter site Is se-
lected, to close up the east end of Sonora
street and open streets north, south and
easlot the site, giving wide streets all
around. his site would be at the west
end of the proposed extension of Sonora
street eastward to El Paso street. It
would front west on Santa Fe street.
Mr. Slaile offers the site of the present
custom houie. Mr. Conklin refused to
tell the site he had offered. It is suppos-
ed to be the Garland lot on East Over-
land street.
