our giving it complete notice of the event,
in our issue of that date.
To go to the fountain, this excursion is
the result of a pet project of Mr. Jas. D.
Brown, ol the M. K. & T. For the past
nine, or possibly twelve months, Mr.

this object. No one mun has done more

ing ot 16| acres, for the purpose of erecting
t tereon, his medical institute. He is en-
deavoring to have the city donate the land,
obligating himself to erect a building cost-
ing not less than ten thousand dollars
within eighteen months. The land select-
ed by the Doctor has a spring of excellent
water on it. Two. citizens left for Sher-
man Tuesday, to consult with the owner
of the land, to see on what terms it can be
purchased.
Donnally, ex-deputy U. S.Mar-
Tiiesday night at 11 ti’doek. He was
breaking on the M. K. & T. construction
train at the time of the shooting. The cur
was riddled with bullets, some three or
four persons being engaged in the affray.
Donnally received his death wound while
standing on the top of a box car endeavor-
ing'to escape from bis pursuers. The
slipoting, it is supposed, was done by horse
thieves, who harbored ap old grudge
against Donnally. A posse of officer* left
Caddo Jo pursuit of the murderers.
