in Oak Cliff Sunday. Mr«. Dur-
rett has been home, from the
sanitarium about ten days and is

acting- business in Lancaster
Tuesday.
Mrs. W. H. Alkire and little
daughter left Saturday for San
Antonio, as Mr. Alkire has de-
cided to remain in that city. He
is with the^Vest Texas Bank and
Trust Co.
J. W. Boger run out from Dal-
las to speild Saturday night with
Dr. Stuart and family. He had
been to St. Louis to bv goods for
his Abilene store. He reports
the Lancaster people at Abilene
as doing well.
The Ladies Aid of the Chris-
tian church gave a social at the
home of Dr. Stuart last Friday
night. A pleasant time is re-
ported and a neat sum added to
the treasury of the society.
The following item was taken
from the Richardson Echo : “Mr.
Luke McKav, of Ferris, and
Miss Jennie Meason were mar-
ried at the Baotist church Wed-
nesday evening, Rev. Clarence
Fuffbines, of Garland, officiat-
ing.”

Texas, having just recently clos-

Grande, a hundred miles south
of Alpine, Mrs. R. E. Taylor
was fortunate enough to kill a
deer. The Doctor also got game,
but nothing that would put him
