Mental Telepathy Baffle Scientists;
Women More Perceptive Than Men
THE PICTURE is fading out,
now it’s coming back . . . the
image is clearing—yes, I can see
it! I can see your mind!
Exciting, isn’t it — viewing
someone else’s thoughts. But for
a person with this power of men-
tal telepathy, it may not be so
exciting.
MENTAL TELEPATHY is an
uncertain talent. Scientists have
been searching since the early
19th century to prove that it
even exists. Experiments on the
subject have ranged from the
most simple to extremely elabo-
Massachusetts researcher con-
tacted 50 people of all ages from
all across the nation and in-
structed them to concentrate on
his thoughts at a specific time
and write telling him what ob-
ject was revealed to them.
When the test was completed,
a large percentage of the total
control group, including 60 per-
cent of the women, reported see-
ing the object on which the re-
searcher was concentrating. This
might suggest that women are
more telepathic than men.
BUT OF ONE thing scientists
are sure. The power of telepa-
thy, if it does exist, does not al-
ways work, and the one who has
it cannot control it. And that
could be dangerous; you might
find out something that you do
not want to know!
