selections for governor, U S. Sen-
ate, lieutenant governor, attorney
general, comptroller, state trea-
surer, agriculture commissioner,
land commissioner, railroad com-
missioners, as well as three Supreme
Court Justice positions and three
Coun of Criminal Appeals positions.
Incumbent Gov. Ann Richards is
on the Democratic primary ballot
with Gary Espinosa. George W.
Bush and Ray Hollis are seeking the
Republican nomination.
Incumbent U.S. Senator Kay
Bailey Hutchison is on the Republi-
can ticket with Tom Spink, Stephen
Hopkins. James C. Currey, Roger
Henson, M. Troy Mala and Ernest
J. Schmidt. Democrats seeking the
nomination are Michael A.
Andrews, Richard Fisher, Jim
Mattox and Evelyn K. Laniz.
Bob Bullock, incumbent, is alone
on the Democratic ticket in his bid
for re-election as lieutenant gover-
nor. Republicans seeking the nomi-
nation are H J. ‘Tex” Lezar. Louis
