wonder that they are receiving the
support they do. This week* bill,
which I* perhaps the most careful of
all the stock production*, has met
with most, flattering results for at
every performance good crowd* have
attended the show. The "Senator’s
Wife" Is a good play to see. One feels
better for having listened to ltd beau-
tiful story showing the best side of
life and leaving an Impression on the
mind that is pleasing and instructive.
The comedy element Is strong and
excellently played.
Next week’s offering will be the best
yet attempted and they will vise eigh-
teen acting people.
"The Senator's Wife" will finish out
the week.

PROFIT IN BLOODED BULLS
E. M. Fink of This City Takes Large

to Mexico.
On this way from Taylor, Texas, to
Tama(illpas, Mexico, with a few oar-
loa.ls of Hereford bulls for ranches
of that section of the republic, E. M.
Fink of £3 Paso registered at the
Southern hotel to spend .the -last, day
of the carnival in San Antonio, says
the San Antonio Exipress.
“I have found It. very -difficult to
buy 2-year-old bulls In Texa^." he said-
“on account of the fact that tnearly all
the farmers and ranchmen who han-
dle blooded stock either sell their
bulls at the age Of one yeair to the
butcher or send them as steers -to the
market.
"There is a fine profit in the hush
nes« of shipping fine bullB to Mex-
ico now and it is going to continue
long enough to make U to the advan-
tage of the cattle raiser to hold a few
of h-i« bulls.
"When a shipper makes affidavit at
the border now. that hi« cattle are of
good quality and to he used for breed-
ing purposes only, -they can go Into
Mexico free of dmy. Texas catrle,
of the boat quality only, have been
shipped to Mexico to ithe ranches
which desire to raise the quality of
their cattle and naturally cattle from
this (state have a fine reputa Ion in
that country.
"The Mexican ranchmen, particular-
ly In the coast section of Mexico, are
making a large profit by raising
good cattle from Texas stock and
^tipping them to Cuba. The Cuban
ranches are still being stocked <0 re-
cover from the effects or the Span-
tsh-American war and the (hard times

“Not many dairy cattle are being
shipped. Hereford*, however, are pre-
