respective precincts.
The committee which met yester-
day Is composed of A. P. Coles, A.
Courchesne, Dr. E. B. Carpenter, S.
J. Larkin and W. C. Davis. Dr. Car-
penter and S. J Larkin were also ap
pointed a committee to go over the
rolls of the city and county clerk so
as to select suitable men from each
precinct.
It is the intention of the committee
to push the matter of circulating the
lietitlons.

San Francisco, Sept. 14.—The joint
bid tendered by E. H. Rollins £
Sons and N. W. Harris, for the first
allotment of $3,280,000 municipal
bonds, was today accepted by the
board of supervisors. The winning bid
was in the nature of a blanket offer
for the entire allotment In Ihe sum
of $3,514,520. One hundred bids In all
were received by the supervisors.
