KILLED IN ACTION, VIETNAM
MAY 25, 1965
In Vietnam, on a day in May,
A battle raged at the close of day,
A soldier fought, tall and lean,
A soldier in a beret of green.
He had come to this far-distant land,
To fight for freedom and the rights of man,
So that we may never know this strife,
A Green Beret lay down his life.
