April 27, 1953
The meeting of the faculty began at 7:30 P. M. with a prayer offered by
President Beto. The minutes of the previous meetings were approved as read
1? the secretary.
Professor Huebschmann inquired about the possibility of using certain
schools for senior college work in the event that the proposed senior college
is not inaugurated. The President mentioned that three schools under consid-
eration had at one time been Concordia, Saint Paul, Minnesota; Saint John's,
Winfield, Kansas; and Concordia Institute, Bronxville, New York.
The following students were approved for membership in the Honor Society:

Blume Nieman
Calvillo Pickett
Eifert, H. Rechs
Geihaler, A. J. Studmann
Heinemeier Umlang
Horn Weiser
Kieschnick Wildgrube
Kohl Zoch, R.
Melds Zoch, T.
Should we have more stringent standards for membership in the Honor
Society? The foregoing question was discussed casually and dropped for possible
future consideration.
The father of was upset at the report of his son's grades and
recommended in a communication with President Beto that i be denied off-
campus privileges. The President indicated his reaction to such parental
suggestion and advised that we place the student under no restriction, but
that we perhaps give him the opportunity to discontinue his studies at Concordia
at the semester's end.
The President then mentioned a group insurance plan inaugurated at Concordia,
Milwaukee. The plan seems reasonable and worthwhile, Hs, is requesting more
information both from Concordia and from the company issuing the insurance.Within the next two weeks names of superior students worthy of receiving
academic medals for excellence in all subjects are to be submitted to the
