Funeral for Barbara Jean
Montiville, 75, of Jacksonville,
was at 2 p.m. Thursday at
Autry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial was in Rocky Springs
Cemetery.
Mrs. Montiville died April 16
in Jacksonville. She was born
Dec. 24,1936, in Houston. Mrs.
Montiville was a bank teller
and a Christian. She was pre-
ceded in death by her father,
Forest Goodwin; and brother,
Tommy Goodwin.
Survivors include her hus-
band, Robert Montiville of
Jacksonville; mother, Elsie
Fritchie Goodwin of Jack-
sonville; three daughters
and sons-in-law, Monya and
Gary Jones of Alto, Dena and
LeRoy Bates of Tomball and
Teresa and Jimy Ledett of
Marrero, La.; three sons and
daughters-in-law, Bobby and
Joy Montiville of Deville, La.,
Monroe Lovelady of Jackson-
ville and Chris Lovelady of
Baton Rouge, La.; a sister
and brother-in-law, Elsie
and Wayne Wink of Houston;
14 grandchildren, 18 great-
grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gary Jones,
Leroy Bates, Shane Montiville,
David Moore, Ricky Moore,
Jason Bates, Shaun Davis and

to Howard Glen Heath Sr.
and Hertha Fay Westbrook
Heath. East Texas became the
Heath’s home in 1969, where
Mr. Heath attended Troup
schools. He partnered with
his dad for 10 years at Heath’s
Nursery in New Summerfield
prior to selling the business
in 2006.
Survivors are his parents,
Glen and Hertha Heath of
New Summerfield; a brother,
Marty Heath and a sister
and brother-in-law, Julie
and Dane Clark, all of Troup;
nephews, Cody Heath and
Brandi and Christian Johnson
of Lake Palestine, Seth Clark

Funeral for Terie Maxine
Whitehead, 87, of Cushing was
at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dickie
Allen Funeral Home in Cush-
ing with the Rev. Jerry Wilson
officiating.
Burial was in the Redland
Cemetery. Lunch was served
prior to the service at noon at
the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Whitehead died April
19. ShewasbornAprill9,1925,
in Alto to Luther and Sarah
Raney Thornton. She married
Autry Troy (Red) Whitehead
July 22, 1945, after waiting
for him to return home from
World War II.
While waiting for his return
she servedher country by work-
ing at the airplane factory in
Dallas. She lived almost her
entire hfe in Lilbert and was a
member of the Lilbert Baptist
Church.
Survivors include three
nephews, Larry Thornton, Don
Thornton and Ray Thornton; a
niece, Wendy Peterson; numer-
ous other nieces, nephews and
other relatives.
Pallbearers were John
Raney, Mike Thomas, Bobby
Brashears, Edward Thornton,
Shannon Lekas and Dennis
Channel.
Graveside service for Sue
Tillman, 72, of Jacksonville
was at 2 p.m. Monday at West
Shady Grove Cemetery with
Michael George officiating.
Mrs. Tillman died April 20
in Jacksonville. She was born
May 19, 1939, in Oakwood.
She was an X-ray technician
at Rusk State Hospital.
Preceding her in death were
her husband, Bobby Tillman;
and parents, Henry and Opal
Peevy.
Survivors include a daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Deana
and Bobby Crockett of Jack-
sonville; son and daughter-
in-law, Chuck and Hyla Ray
Tillman of Jacksonville;
brother and sister-in-law, J.
T. (Bill) and Ann Peevy of
Troup; sister and brother-in-
law, Doris and Paul George of
Jacksonville; two grandchil-
dren, Amy and Bobby Crockett
of Jacksonville; nephews, Jeff
Peevy of Marengo, 111. and Mi-
chael George of Jacksonville;
and a niece, Paula Brooks of
Jacksonville.

Funeral for Ken Griffith, 81,
of Palestine was at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Dogwood Hills
Baptist Church in Palestine
with Pastor Kevin Willmott
officiating.
Mr. Griffith died April 21 in
Temple. He was born April 5,
1931, in Macon County, 111. to
Cham Griffith and Effie Green.
Mr. Griffith was a master
carpenter and held a masters
degree in human resources. He
worked for Texas Instruments
and U.S.I. He served in the
Air Force.
He was preceded in death by
a son, Philip Griffith.
Survivors include his wife,
Ruthie Griffith of Palestine;
children, Karen Griffith of
Dallas, Georgianne and Rod
Alerasoul of Murphy, Patrick
and Laura Griffith of Austin,
Timothy Smith of Florida and
Troy and Fraley Smith of God-
dard, Kan.; and Tiffany and
Brad Jacobson of Jacksonville;
two sisters, Catherine Miller
of Decatur, 111. and Harriet
Meininger of Branson, Mo.;
12 grandchildren, one great-
grandchild; several nieces and
nephews.

Mr. Roberts died April 23 in
Jacksonville. He was born Jan.
13, 1948, in Jacksonville. Mr.
Roberts served in the United
States Army. He was preceded
in death by his parents, W. C.
and Christene Roberts; and
two sisters, Sally Davis and
Carlene Morris.

Mr. Wood died April 18. He
