Tkke the labor out of Labor Day by planning the
last picnic of the year Picnics can be eaten indoors
as well as out But take advantage of the Indian
summer weather to eat out at your favorite spot
Old time picnic favorites such as fried chicken or
hamburgers can be prepared ahead of time to min-
imize the labor Try this easy-to do Oven Fried
Chicken recipe for a special treat this Labor Day
season

Oven Fried Chicken
2‘a-3 lb fryer, cut up 2 tsp poultry seasoning
‘/a c bread crumbs tsp garlic salt
v8 c flour '/» tsp salt
'a c corn flake V* c margarine, melted
crumbs
Wash chicken, remove skin if desired Combine
bread crumbs, flour, corn flakecrumbsand sea
soning Dip dampened chicken pieces in coat-
ing mix Place in 9x13" baking dish Drizzle
with melted margarine Cover and bake at 350,JF
oven for 30 minutes Remove cover, continue
to bake until brown, turn and brown second
side Drain if necessary
