joying it all, and who knows -— maybe
you will get a chance to lead this great
band!
We surely liave an enjoyable week-
end ahead of tis, for this Satuřday we
háve the famouš Hub City Dutchmen

our lodge in April and all liked it. Then
on Sunday we start a great day with
a delicious tr.rkey dinner which will
be served from 11 a.m. throughout the
day. Then at 2 o’clock the Czech plays
will start, and we háve two mighty
good one-act plays: “Život na Vesnice”
(“Life in the Village”), and “Zloděj
Ditě” (“Child Thief”). All you who love
Czech plays will find these even more
interesting; Czech costumes and Czech
music will add much to your enjoy-
ment. Then there will be a free dance
from 5 to 9 p.m., with famous Norman
Barnes and his Lamplighters. Those of
you who háve heard this orchestra
know what good rnixed music they
put out, so come to Lodge 88 this Sun-
day and en.joy a good turkey dinner
and tlíc Czech plays, and then dance
free for four horrs to the good music
of the Lamplighters!
In writing about tlie youth "áriety
show I forgot to say that Marlene
Caraway, who ahvays met with the
youth for praeticing and was sttper-
visor of it, was quite pleasantly sttr-
prised by bein.g prosented a bouquet of
red roses after the p!ay. The presenta-
tion was made by Ruťn Žaludek and
was the youths’ way of saying “thanks
for helping us.” Marlene says the girls
and boys and their parents were very
cooperative! A!) the acts were good,
and I think the one-act play had some
reál actresses: Bonnic Cox, Mary
Knapick, and Frances Vala; and very
good actors: James Vornsand, Freddie
Sembera, and Ronnie Evetts!
I want to remind all you good cooks
that the lodge will surely appreeiate
your donations of pies, cakes, strudel
or kolaches for the turkey dinner this
Sunday. Be sure to register your do-
nation.
