Is with her mother, Mrs. 8. A. Short.
Mrs. H. M. Shingle, wife of the
popular manager of the Orange Tele-
phone company, returned home yes-
terday after an extended visit to her
old home In Ohio, where she has been
with a married daughter, who has
be«n quite ill for a time, but who Is
now convalescing.

from Mineral Wells, where he went to

A Orange Woman Asks.
Booklet, ‘‘Texas From A to 2” Will

San Antonio a Representative.
Houston, May 30.—General Man-
ager George L. Rockwell and Special
Representative Homer T. Wilson of
the Texas Five Million club are mak-
ing things lively at the meeting of
the Texas Bankers' association at
Corpus Christ! today. The utmost
enthusiasm prevails and every -man
present has expressed himself as
heartily In accord with the dub and
the grand work that It Is doing in
Texas.
Dr. Wilson spent the earlier part
of the week In Waco, where he told
large audiences of the alms and ob-
jects of the Five Million club, and was
the means of adding many new re-
cruits to the fold. Next week he will
go to El Paso, where matters of Im-
portance in connection with the club
demand'his attention.
Work on the booklet, "Texas From
A to Z,”’* is progressing rapidly and
the booklet will be^ toady for delivery
shortly after June 1. Inquiries con-
cerning the booklet have been re-
ceived from all parts of the North
and East and the mailing list is al-
ready assuming large proportions.
There is always room for more, how-
ever, and Manager Rockwell would
like to hear from all who wish a copy
of the booklet.
Joseph F. Ryan of Ban Antonio,
who has been appointed special field
representative for South Texas, has
been engaged In the securing of mem
bershlps the past few days. His
route extends from Orange to El Paso
and as far south as Brownsvlle. The
North Texas field is being looked af-
ter by William H. Feeney, who will
continue the good work In the future.
