been selected for inclusion in the
1684 edition of Outstanding Young
Women of America.

Spring is in full bloom at 625 W. Avenue A. Leonabelle Turnbull was recently honored
with Yard of the Vlonth for April by the Port Aransas Garden Club. Mrs. Turnbull has a

Pet vaccinations
offered next week
Free rabies vaccinations will be
offered next week by the City of
Port Aransas.
City Animal Control Officer
Luther Garner said dogs and cats
will be vaccinated against rabies
Monday through Thursday, April
15 to 18.
The clinic will be held from 1 to 5
p.m. each day at the Island Animal
Clinic.
Rabies vaccinations will be free,
but city license tags for pets will be
available for $5 each.
Antarctic talk is
Rotary topic today
The Antarctic will be visited
through a slide show and presenta-
tion by oceanographer Tony Amos
at today’s meeting of the Rotary
Club.
Port Aransas Rotarians will
gather at noon at the Waterfront.
Restaurant for their Thursday lunch
meeting this time to hear from
Amos, an oceanographer at the
University of Texas Marine Science
Institute here. Amos returned re-
cently from a trip to the Antarctic.
On the menu is popcorn shrimp.
