amounted to $341,083.67 of which
078,098.36 went for local mainte-
nance and the remainder, or $62.-
421.08, went into the interest and
striking fund to retire outstand-
ing bonds. From time state the Taft
Independent School District receiv-
ed a total of $174,06.40. mostly
fe per capita payment This was
paid by the state at fee rate of
$72 per student last year. Other
revenue listed by the school dis-
trict amounted to 1668.54 and in-
eluded fee sale of surplus property
as its chief item. Revenue received
from county sources amounted to

applied to this debt. Next year the

The debt load of the Taft School
District is considered to be con-
servative. There are currently four
outstanding bond issues ranging in
interest rates from a low of 2 50
on a $100,900 issue in 1948 to t
high of 3,90 being paid on the
1957 issue of $404,000. The other
ten issues are for $65,000 at 2 73
and $300,000 ft 2.25. The first was
floated in 19-49 and the latter in
1*1.

show* expenditures amounting to
$12,386.93. Revenue credited to this
fund amounted to $34,913.32; how-
ever, of this amount a total of
$1,879.77 was carried over from
fee previous year and $5,500 came
from money set up in the loro!
