Immune to Ants
Q. How long can a queen ant
live?
According to researchers, the head
of the ant colony may live up to 15
years.
"Ants have proven to be adept at
adapting," quipped Ray Sutton,
wildlife manager of the Interna-
tional Wildlife Park in Grand Prai-
rie. "From swamps, deserts and
jungles to mountains, city sidewalks
and boats, you'll find ants present
everywhere except the Antartic and
Arctic regions."
