One person, whose intelligent un-
derstanding ot the case has long
since been proved, has worked so
iudefatigably that already he is
firmly impressed with the idea that
he holds in his hands the solution of
the great enigma. He has in his

tain locality in the western part of
Pennsylvania where the boy is sup-
posed to be in hiding, and he posit-
ively asserts that if certain proposi-
tions in Mr. BanumTs announce-

third anniversary of his disappear-
ance.
If it can in any way be arranged
that the governor will grant them
immunity they promise, upon pay-
ment of the reward, to return the
