PATRONS OF HUSBANDRY. .
We had an inten iew the other day
with Mr. Robt. A. Baird, in which
he positively assured us that the order
of Pattons of Husbandry bad no po-
litical significance whatever, that on
the contrary, suojects of a political
01 religious character were sedulous-
ly excluded from the Granges. This
being the ease, we do favor the move-
ment and are willing to aid it by all
reasonable means, and therefore give
place to the following communica-
tion. and ask all papers in Texas
friendly to the movement to copy or brer and ale by the drink or keg.

Mr. George Dichcnnen:

mous burdens that are oppressing
them so greviously, vou will confer a
favor by giving notice through your
paper, with a request that all papers
throughout the State friendly to the
I organization will copy the notice,
I that as the deputy of the National
| Grange, l will take pleasure in visit-
ing any point that is tit all accessible,
for the purpose oforgamzingGranges
if the farmers so desire.
I will be in Fort \\ orth until about
