wre dispatched to the scene of
an anhydrous ammonie leak
from a tank truck at the Swift
Farm Service Cnter two miles
west of Hillje Sunday at 7:53
a.m. Injured were the truck
driver, Swift manager, two
firemen and an El Campo man
traveling on U.S. 59. The
thick, foggy gas completely cut
off traffic on Highway 59 for
approximately one hour.

Bell Telephone Company's
failure to comply with promis-
ed improved service. The
council voted unanimously to
draft a resolution to the Public

appointed Tax Assessor -
Collector for Goliad indepen-
dent School District. In past
years, assessment and collec-
tion of school district taxes was
handled by the county tax
office. Several months ago the
school board voted to set up a
separate tax office and use
computer services available
through Texas Education
Agency Region III.
