F. L. Shawver home on Sun-
day. Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Wim-
berly and three girls from Per-
rin were in the Shawver home
on Friday evening. Other recent
visitors in the Shawver home
were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Morton of Espauola, New Mex-
ico, Mr. Lester Meador from
Bethany, Okla., Mr. and Mrs.
Forney Henry from Slaton and
Mr. and Mrs. Dave McCaslin
from Fort Worth.
Mr, Morton is" a younger
brother of Mrs. Mollie May and
visited in the home of Miss
petty May and took her with
them to Mineral Wells to visit
other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry spent
several days in the home of
Miss Hetty May and watched
the final work on a well that
was being brought in on their
place.
Several holes have been open-
ed up and reworked in the com-
munity recently. Work is near-
ing completion on a well for
Mrs. Yates about a mile and a
half south of Vineyard.
Vickie Lynn Worthington has
been spending a few days with
her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. C. Akins while she was hav-
ing measles.
Shirley Morrow was out of
school a few days with mumps.
Mrs. Morrow has attended sev-
eral school activities recently
with her three children taking
parts.
The Cecil Morrow family have
been recent visitors in the W. W.
Morrow home.
Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Hitch-
cock and Mrs. Annie Hitchcock
spent Saturday in Weatherford.
Billy Hitchcock came home from
Albany where he is working for
the weekend. Mrs. Loyd Hitch-
cock spent a day recently in the

At the services Sunday morn-
ing at the Baptist Church, Mrs.
Dora Shawver, age 84, was the
odest mother present. Mrs. Eula
Mae Marford, age 22, was the
youngest mother present. Mrs.
Ladd was the mother with the
most children, six, present. The
gold star mothers present were
Mmes. Seth Wampler and Mrs.
Chloy Johnson. All were present-
ed corsages.
Mrs. Helen Howell and family
have been visiting her mother,
Mrs. Chloy Johnson.

W. A. Woods and family, Fort
