The Coryell County Swine Quiz Bowl
team participated in the District 8
4-H Roundup in Meridan recently. The
team placed first in the intermediate di-
vision. Team members are Hailey Luen-
smann, Braden Luensmann, Kinsey Gard-
ner, and Kameron Smith.
They also competed against the Senior
Swine Quiz Bowl team and beat them.
Kinsey is the daughter of Jim and Julie
Gardner and granddaughter of Carey and
Cecelia Gardner of Aspermont. Jim was
the coach for the team.

named to receive an un-
dergraduate award in ana-
lytical chemistry by the
American Chemistry Soci-
ety according to Robert J.
Palma, assistant professor
of chemistry. He is the son

will travel to Austin to
compete in the State Track
Meet. Hecht earned the
right to compete at state
after winning 1st in the
200 meter dash at the Re-
gional meet in Levelland.
She also placed 2nd in the

West Fest in Andrews.
Beauchamp pulled with
his mini rod that he built
from the ground up won
first place both days. He also
