tional Cancer Control Month, and on

special broadcasts over
a. m., outlining twenty
common age at which they appear,
methods of treatment, the percentages
any known preventive measures.
Dr Geo W Cox, State health officer, says the ?!e..
cancer patients today have a brighter prospect for
recovery than at any time before in history, and agrees exeiutIve
wholeheartedly with the national movement to stamp these counties. 9i 8 per

discovery can mean recovery.’ don
“Survey, radium and x-ray therapy are working
wonders in many different types of cancer, Dr. Cox
said. “In all types of cancer except leukemia there
is a possibility of cure if the patient is diagnosed in
the very early stages. Any suspicious symptom should
be investigated by a competent physician at their
first appearance, and if cancer is found to be present
and treatment instituted at once, there is every reason
to hope for complete recovery. Ihe important thing to
remember is that cancer can be cured- but it de”'”1
entirely on early discovery and proper treatment
All persons interested in cancer control are
fo hear these special broadcasts on April 10, 1.7 a
