I GIVE

Lee* than a week after the
War Department submitted to Con-
gress its report recommending
extension of the intracoastal
Canal from Corpus Christi to Port
Isabel, Brownsville and Harlingen,
the House Rivers and Harbors
Committee held a hearing to de-
termine whether the project should
be incorporated in the omnibus
rivers and harbors authorization
bill. Such Inclusion has been free-
ly forecast.
Meanwhile, the South Texas
Chamber of Commerce has been
advised. Corpus Christl’s celebra-
tion of completion of the canal
to that point, originally set for
October 24-25, has been postponed
until probably late November.

Citizenship becomes more worthwhile and indepen-
dence becomes more of a reality when you own your
own home. International events can't affect the se-
curity that comes with home ownership, and the
home is the one investment that goes on serving,
giving full value, regardless of what happens. Build
now, while libera! terms are available. Come in and
see us today.
