I like the Alternative School
because H is helpful. You have
people who will and can take their
time in helping you. I have been
going for two months. My grades
are a lot better than what they were.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson took their
time in helping me with my work
and school grades. I can go as slow
or as fast as I want to.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
for helping me.
Thanks,

LINGLEVILLE SCHOOL APPRECIATES THE MERCHANTS
AND BUSINESSES WHO MADE OUR CARNIVAL SUCCESSFUL
The Lingleville School would like to thank everyone who made our Halloween
Carnival a success. Parents, community members, faculty, and students worked hard to ensure
that everything was ready for the big night: gala decorations, colorful costumes, home-made
food concessions, game booths, spook house, and drawings for everything from a Las Vegas
trip to pot-bellied pigs.
However, hard work by itself would not make the carnival successful. The following
businesses and merchants through their contributions and donations provided many of the
food items, prizes for the game booths, and items for the drawings and auction.
All of us in the Lingleville school community offer our sincere thanks to you for your
invaluable assistance. We could not have our carnival without you.
If we have inadvertently left anyone out, we offer our sincere apologies.

Kids writing to Santa Claus with
their Christmas wish list is an age
old tradition But a personal tele-
phone call from Santa? Welcome to
new high-tech world., with a twist.
This year, Santa Claus is going
"high-tech" in his North Pole head-
quarters.
"I was just running out of time
and just couldn't get all my letters
written and all the toys ready for
the sleigh too," Santa said during
an interview. "Mrs. Claus was al-
ways worried that with ail those
letters I'd get behind and forget
someone. I needed some help."
So for Christmas, 1994, Santa is
working with a telephone manage-
ment service bureau located in the
center of North America to contact
kids by phone, as well as mail, all
in good time for Christmas.
Santa's helper, David Vanderwees
of North Pole Enterprises Inc.,
explains that parents, friends and
relatives of children who have
passed the "naughty or nice" test
can call 1-800-99-SANTA toll-free
from anywhere in North America
and arrange to have Santa person-
ally call a child of their choice at a
pre-arranged time.
"We'll just ask for a few basic
facts about the child's interest -
names of pets, favorite toys, hob-
bies, favorite things to do, that sort
of thing - to make sure Santa's file
is up to date. Then we'll arrange a
time and date in December when
Santa can make the call," Vander-
wees says. The average call will be
three to four minutes.
North Pole Enterprises also offers
personalized letters from Santa for
kids too busy to get to the phone.
The keep-sake letter, signed and
sealed by Santa himself on his
personalized stationery, is also tai-
lored to the recipients' special inter-
ests.
