heart attack last week. He is in
ICU, tho hopefully improving.

Dunbar Community was air-
lifted early Thursday morning
after suffering a se-
vere asthma attack. She was
taken to S. E. Methodist
Hospital in Dallas where she

Delft plates. Lavon was traveling in Holland last summer and

RECEIVES AWARD—Jennifer Jenkins Spence was awarded a
Most Outstanding Showmanship Award from the Barbizon
School of Modeling in Dallas. She will be graduating Sunday.
April 16th. She is the daughter of Ray & Ivy Spence of Point and
granddaughter of Oleta & Junior Nolan of Emory. She is an;8(h
grader at Rains Junior High. Miss Coffee, director at the school,
presented the award. Jennifer wishes to thank all of her teachers
at the Barbizon School and her friends for their support.

ing Team consisting of Cheryl Anderson, Brent Jennings and Vic
Smith (top photo) placed 4th at District 5 Judging Contest at
Texas A&M April 1st. The Junior Team consisting of Ken Pruitt,
Brian Anderson and Gary Don Smith (bottom photo) placed 3rd
with Ken Pruitt placing 8th and Brian Anderson placing 5th out of
the top ten individuals. The 4-H leaders traveling with the teams
