where he has been employed
for the past several weeks.

where he will resume his stu-
dies at the University of Ala-
bama.
Mr, and Mrs. Brownlow Mc-
Clellan of Overton are visiting
his parents, Mr. and Mis. Joe
McClellan of this city. Mr. Mc-
Clellan received painful burns
In a gas explosion at Overton a
few weeks ago, but is recover-
ing, and hopes to be able to re-
turn to his work within the
next few days.
Mum Ouida Jones of Car-
mona is the guest of Misaes
Clelian and Norma Holmes.
Miss Vallen Whitton is at
home from San Marcos where
she attended summer school.
Miss Whitton returned by way
of Austin where she visited
several days with Mrs. 'W. L.
Whitton.
Miss Lorene Brown, who re-
cently underwent an operation
at Johnson’s hospital for ap-
pendicitis, has been removed
to the home of her uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Wil-
son in this city. Friends of the
family will be gratified to learn
of her rapidly improved con-
dition.
Austel Youngblood and
daughter. Miss Ethel, of Edge-
wood, Illinois, and nephew,
Harold, of Houston are enjoy-
ing a visit in Timpson, Nacog-
doches and Houston with rela-
tives. He is visiting his father,
G. W. Youngblood, and broth-
er, Jim, of this community and
brother, Ed. of Houston. Mr.
Youngblood is a native of Shel-
by county, and was reared in
the Timpson community, mov-
ing to other points in 1916. He
has a position with the Gulf
Pipe line Co., which place he
has held for a number of years,

iness session' and luncheon.
This district affair was held at
the llankenship hotel, and
some 30 representatives were
in attendance, according to in-
formation from W. K. Boyn-
ton, local Sinclair agent

The Timpson and Garrison
Chapters of the Order of the
Eastern Star will have a spe-
cial joint session of the order
tonight in Timpson. The
meeting is in commemoration
of and celebrates the natal an-
niversary of Bob Morris, the
order’s founder. The Times is
requested to bring the an-
nouncement of a well prepared
and impressive program to the
attention of chapter members.
A covered dish luncheon will
be enjoyed at the conclusion
of the program. Every one re-
quested to bring a covered dish.
MRS. JULIA WALLACE
DIES AT CORSICANA
Information has reached,
Timpson announcing the death'
of Mrs. Julia Wallace at Cor-
sicana Wednesday. Funeral
services were held at Hender-
son Thursday. Mrs. Wallace
formerly resided in this city,
and is the mother of Vernon
Wallace, former Timpson citi-
Ur. and Mrs. Fred Thomp-
son of Eagle Pass, who have
been spending the summer
with Mrs. Thompson’s parents.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Walker of
this city, left yesterday, Mr.
Thompson going to the State
University at Austin where he
will study this term, and Mrs.
Thompson going to Eagle Pass
where she will resume her
duties as a member of the
school faculty of that city.
J. N. Craig spent Wednesday
and Thursday in Waco on hug-
eness.
Masters Ed and Billie Tay-
lor. young sons of Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Taylor of this city, are re-
covering nicely from a recent
operation for tonsilitis.
Little -Miss Madge Boucher,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. E.
Boucher of this city, is re-
covering nicely from.a recent
