Named Correct !
Posture Chairman
Dr. M. S. Olds has been ap-
pointed city chairman of the Cor-
rect Posture Week committee for
Silsbee.
His appointment was announced
by Dr. J. C. Shipman of Abilene,
chairman of the Chiropractic
Public Health Committee of Tex-
as, which annually sponsors cor-
rect posture week in Texas.
The week will be observed May
I-T..........During this.....period......chiro-
practors in Texas will stress the
importance of good posture and
its relationship to good health in
the hopes of correcting postural
faults. This year marks the fifth
straight year it has been observed
in Texas.
Detailed plans for the observ-
ance of Correct Posture Week in
the area will be announced* later
by Qr. Olds.
“AQ ages and occupations can
be affected by bad posture which
can cause illness and disease if
not corrected,” Dr. Olds said,,
“therefore, the Public Health
Committee sponsors this week in
the interest of good health.”
Regional chairman for this area

THE THUNDERBIRD, a new kind of car combining high performance with the com-
fort, convenience and safety of a conventional model, has been added to the Ford line. The
Thunderbird has a powerful 160 h.p. Y-block V-8 engine and its low, graceful body is of all-steel
construction. Equipped with a convertible cloth top which folds completely out of sight behind the
rear seat, the Tbuaderbinl can be purchased ..with a special composition hardtop, making it a com-
plete all-weather car. Its overall height is 51.5 Inches— nearly a foot lower than The 1954 Ford sedan—
yet ft has only slightly lea road clearance. Most of Its major parti are interchangeable with Ford’s
regular line of cars. The Thunderbird is scheduled for production by Ford Division next fall.
