will usher for the games Feb. 9,
10, 15, 16, 17 and March 1, 2, 3, 5.
Other activities of APO includ-
ed hosting the sectional council
meeting in the Glick Room of
the Geo. W. Armstrong Library
Saturday, January 27.
APO members will also com-
plete work on the fountain in
front of Ann Waggoner Hall
Saturday, Feb. 3 if weather per-
mits. If the weather is rainy,
work on the fountain will be
completed the following Satur-
day.
Gamma Sigma Sigma initiated
Pam Becwar into their service
sorority Sunday, January 28 at
3 p.m. in Stella Russell lounge.
For the highest grade point
average of the three social soror-
ities, Autiss received the ISC
scholastic trophy. Autiss had a
grade point average of 2.77.
The Inter-Sorority Council will
hold a rummage sale in the SUB
on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m.-
4 p.m.
Formal initiation for fall pledg-
es of Phi Mu will be Sunday, Feb.
4 in Anderson Chapel.
The Methodist Student Move-
ment has completed their series
of Witness Seminars, but will
begin a new project Sunday, Feb.
4 with the initiation of a Key '73
mission visitation program. Their
first visitation program will be
at Everman United Methodist
Church on Sunday," Feb. 4.
The MSM is also sponsoring a
retreat for TWC students. The
retreat will be in Waxahachie,
Texas, Feb. 9 and 10.
At their monthly meeting on
Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 6 pm. MSM
members will view "Our Father,"
a controversial film pertaining to
the Christian faith. Their March
meeting will feature conference
evangelist, Quay Parmer. In ad-
dition to their activities the MSM
also sponsors a Bible study each
Monday night, from 6-7 p.m. in
the lounge of Elizabeth Hall.
The Religion Department will
host a coffee for all religion
majors in Stella Russell lounge
Monday, Feb. 12. from 1:30-3 p.m.
Holy Communion will be held
Wednesday, ,Feb. 7 at 7:30 a.m.
in Anderson Chapel. On Thurs-
day, Feb. 8 an inter-denomina-
tional worship service will be
held in the Chapel at 10:50 a.m.
during the free period.
"The Wild Bunch" will be shown
Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in
Reed Theater.
Fraternity and sorority pictures
for TXWECO will be taken Feb.
13, 14 and 15 from 9-12 a.m. and
1-4 p.m. in the cafeteria. Charge
will be $1 per person.
With the close of IFC Rush,
Sigma Phi Epsilon has released
a tentative list of spring pledges.
They are Scott Allen, Ken Cor-
nelius, Berny Hamil, Trey Harper,
Tom Hatfield, Scott Hendricks
and Mike Wickman.

The Division of Fine Arts of
Texas Wesleyaq. College will pre-
sent a faculty,, chamber music
recital on Sunday, Feb. 4, at
3:00 p.m. in Reed Theater. Par-
ticipating, will be Karen Johnson,
pianist; Ronald Tarvin, violinist;
Wayne Bennett, clarinetist; Mar-
jorie Murphy, soprano; and guest
performers Louise Canafax, vio-
linist, and Monte Knutson, cellist.
The program will consist of
"Der Hirt auf dem Falsen" by
Franz Schubert, for soprano,
clarinet, and piano; Sonata for
Clarinet and Piano by Francis
Poulenc; and Piano Quartet No. 1
in C minor, Op. 25, by Johannes
Brahms, for piano, violin, viola,
and cello.
Miss Johnson is assistant pro-
fessor of piano and theory at
TWC. She has music degrees
from Oberlin College and the
L^niversity of Colorado and pre-,
viously taught at Gustavus Addfc
phus College, St. Cloud State
College, and MacPhail Center for
the Performing Arts of the Uni-
versity of Minnesota. Mr. Tarvin,
assistant professor of violin, holds
degrees from Ohio State Univer-
sity and the Eastman School of
Music, with further study at
North Texas State University. At
Eastman he was a pupil of Car-
roll Glenn. He was formerly on
the faculty at Gustavus Adolphus
College.
Bennett is part-time instructor
of woodwinds at TWC and has
music degrees from Oklahoma
State University and North Texas
State University. He is presently
working toward the Ph.D. in
woodwind pedagogy at NTSU

ture, the Rambler's literacy supplement.

Monday, Feb. 12; publication date will be
Feb. 22.

Word and Picture editor Dave Madison
announced that space is still available for this
month's issue, which also will appear in a
more,, readable, more condensed format. Mad-
ison has stated that several changes are in
store for Word and Picture this spring.
All contributions must be in to the Rambler
office, or to Dave Madison at O. C. Hall, no
later than noon, Feb. 12. For more information

nia. She formerly taught ir. the
Eort Worth Public Schools. She
is principal violinist with the
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra
and has been a member of the
San Antonio Symphony Orches-
tra. In 1971 she was selected as
one of 145. musicians from 60
countries to play with the World
Symphony Orchestra. She is also
a member of the Fort Worth
Opera Orchestra and during the
summers plays in the New Hamp-
shire Music Festival Orchestra.
Knutson is principal cellist with
the Fort Worth Symphony He
studied cello with Marylouise
Baker at Texas Christian Univer-
sity, where he now is a part-
time instructor. He is a member
of the Fo'rt Worth Opera Or- ,
chestra.
