Mayer - Kovar pledge vows
Laurie Beth Mayer of
Victoria and Ronald Joe
Kovar of Ganado were mar-
ried at 2 p.m. on Aug. 25,
2012 at Holy Family
Catholic Church in Victoria.
The Reverend Bob
Knippenberg officiated the
double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of George and Angeline
Mayer of Victoria. She is the
granddaughter of Sidonia
Mayer of Moulton and the
late George Mayer, Sr. and
the late John and Annie
Vincik.
The groom is the son of
Emil and Helen Kovar of
Ganado. He is the grandson
of the late Emil and Frances
Kovar and the late Justin and
Leona Sykora.
Christie Mayer, sister of
the bride, attended as maid of
honor. Amy Miori, sister of
the bride, attended as matron
of honor. Tracy Wooldridge,
friend of the bride, attended
as bridesmaid. Junior brides-
maids were Megan Miori and
Anna Claire Miori, nieces of
the bride. Flower girl was
Emily Mayer-Bain, niece of
the bride.
Justin Wooldridge, friend
of the groom, served as best
man. Groomsmen were Jim
Miori III, brother-in-law of
the bride, and Michael
Chanek, cousin of the groom.

lowing the ceremony at Holy
Family Activity Center.
Following wedding travel
to the Bahamas, the couple
will reside in Victoria.
Laurie is a 1996 magna
cum laude graduate of
Victoria High School and a
2000 graduate of The
University of Texas at Austin
with a Master in Professional
Accounting and a Bachelor
of Business Administration.
She is a Certified Public
Accountant and is currently
employed as the Controller
of B-H Genetics in Ganado.
Ronald is a 1998 graduate
of Ganado High School. He
is currently employed by the
Jackson County Sheriff
Department as a jailer at the
Jackson County Detention
Center in Edna.

Ledwig are parents of a son,
Benjamin James, who was
born on Aug. 6, 2012 at Byrd
Hospital in Leesville, La.
The new arrival weighed 6
pounds, 10 ounces and
