COMPULSORY SCHOOL ATTEN’D-
ANCE LAW IS NOW IN EFFECT
Acting upon the authority invested
in the board of trustees by the laws
of the State of Texas, we do hereby
appoint December 1st, 1921, as the
date for the beginning of the com
pulsory attendance term for Clifton
Independent School District. Upon
that date and thereafter for a period
of 100 consecutive school days, unless
heretofore in attendance, evfcry child
residing in this school district who is
eight years of age and not more than
fourteen is required to attend school
every day, there being certain legal
excuses. For the violation of this law
there is a penalty of $.5 for the first
offense and the penalty is doubled for
each succeeding offense.
