Mrs. Frank Kilpatrick is visiting
in Colorado City, Texas. f
Mrs. Annie Swaim of Edens has
been visiting her mother, Mrs. Eva
McCoy of Clifton, and sister, Mrs.
Lester Smith of Meridian. She left
Sunday to visit another sister, Mrs.
Guy Wilson at Bryan, before re-
turning to her home at Edens.
Messrs. Ralph Bradley, Lester
Smith and Dennis were in College
Station Friday on business.
Mrs. G. B. Crane is in Lampkin
visiting in the home of her daugh-
ter.
Mrs. D. R. Blalock was hostess
with Mrs. Clara F. Atkins as co-
hostess to the Meridian Study Club
on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Subject of
the program was “Antiques.” Each
member brought an antique and
told its history for the roll call.
Miss Fay Young discussed “Old
Staffordshire Pottery,” and Mrs.
Jorgenson gave a talk on “A Cen-
tury of Silver.” Each member on
the program illustrated his subject
with pottery and silver.
Due to freezing weather the
Meridian schools were dismissed

The meeting opened with Scrip-
ture reading by our leader, Mrs.
Olson, and then the Lord’s Prayer
was read in unison.
The afternoon was spent in roll-
ing bandages for one of our mission
fields in Madagascar, crocheting,
piecing a quilt, embroidering, and
hemstitching various articles.
There were 19 ladiesfpresent and
5 children. We are very happy to
have a new member in our Circle,
Mrs. James Brown.
The following visitors were
present: Mrs. Lamb, Mrs. Jerry
Matthews, Mrs. Otto Bakke, Mrs.
G. W. Mingus, Mrs. Ras Gaston,
and Viola Eason.
Delicious refreshments of sand-
wiches, cake, cookies, chocolate
fudge, gum drops, hot chocolate and
