His wife’s best girl friends try to
steal him away. But will he stray?
Will he? Wait till Maurice Cheva-
lier spends “One Hour With You”—
and you’ll find out.—Titus Sunday,
i Monday and Tuesday.
Once again, Ernst Lubitsch the
master craftsman of cinematic pro-
ductions, scores u hit in “One Hour
With You.”
Like Babe Ruth in baseball, all Lub-
itsch needs is “a chance for a play”
and he puts it over to the back seats
—for cheers.
With Maurice Chevalier and Jea-
nette MacDonald teamed together for
their best work, assisted by players
of excellent past performance, with
George Cukor coaching, and Ernst
Lubitsch’s discerning eye and hand at
the controls, there’s little wonder
that Paramount’s “One Hour Withj
You” scores heavily, and that picture
fans pack the seats.
In the Nation’s great motion pic-
ture industry Ernst Lubitsch has a
record of directorial accomplishment
thaa is unsurpassed. Recently, after
many weeks of arduous work, he
completed “The Man I Killed,” pro-
nounced by critics one of the best
pictures of the year, and perhaps the
greatest metaphysical picture drama
of the decade.
Immediately after the completion
of “The Mar I Killed,” Lubitsch be-
came the production supervisor of
Maurice Chevalier’s latest picture,
“One Hour With You,” with Jeanette
MacDonald playing the feature fem-
inine role. This picture is a comemdy-
drama with musical interludes and
is similar type and dramatic action
to “The Love Parade” and “The
Similing Lieutenant.” These pictures
reflected Lubitsch’s outstanding direc-
torial genius, in which Maurice Che-
valier in 1'he stellar roles delighted
millions of theatre-goers.
“One Hour With You,” which
comes to the Titus Theatre for 3 days
beginning Sunday, is the latest star-
ring vehicle of the inimitable Mau-
rice Chevalier, who is again support-
ed in the leading feminine role by
Jeanette MacDonald, who shared hon-
ors with him in “The Love Parade.”
