I am now supplying the trado with pure Cognac
Bandy In bottles both for medical 'jnd private
uso Tho immense succes thathaa crowned my ef-
forts to place a pur Gin within tho reach of all
under tho name of Aromatic Schetdam Schnapps
nnd to drive out of tho-market tho pernicious com
pounds sold as Gin throughout the country led
many leading druggists apothecaries and medical
men. fur some yeara past to solicit mo to pursuo
the samo course In regard to tho article of Brandy
I should have compiled with theso requests from
all fniartors long ago hut was deterred from it by
tho ftct that owing to tho exorbitant prices of
Brandy in Franco corsquertt upon tho shortness
of tho gripo crop for some years there wasnoebnne
of my being able to import tho choicest Brandy a
bottle it and soil It at moderate prices. Fortunate
ly forme the grape crop for tho last and provlous
year (and tho prospect for this) wob abundant and
prices of Brandy have fallen to tho standard of ten
years ago. Tho duty on Brandy Is nlio seventy
per ocnt lotvor and I have now nude arrangements
with "four Brandy exportors in France of tho high-
est -cpute am rogularly receiving consignments of
the bent Cognac Brandy which I am bottling nnd
telling as Wolfe's Gonulno Cognac Brandy. I
guarantee with my seal lubols ahdecrtificato tho
Brandy so bottlod by mo as thopuie unadulterat-
ed article and It will bo found when usod as a
medicine a beverage or a cordial healthful and
Invigorating. It has been a matt or of universal
complaint that a bottle of pure unmixed French
Brandy was very difficult to obtain and the pur-
chaser nine times la ton was deceivod with a vilo
manufactured Imitation. . Of all descriptions of ar-
dent spirits Brandy from 1U high price has boon
tho one article that mixers anl sellers have turned
thoir attention to and millions of gallons of the so-
called French Brandy have boca scattered annually
through tho land and have been the primary cau o
or muraors suicides cruelties and crimes and have
sont thousands to an oarly grave aelf-destroyors
from delirium tremens raania-a-potu and horrr3
pmes unknown until unprinciplod men began to
make maddening compounds and sell it as tho pure
French Brandy.
The virtues of puro Fronch Brandy nood not bo
sold by mo. Thoy aro known throughout tho
world as a modlcino or mild stimulant. It Is as tho
Faonch nati'n poetically call it "Eau do la vie"
tho wator of life. But thta applies to it only when
pure and unadulterated. Manufactured with tho
fearful ingredients that make a good imitation it
bocomes a death drink to innocont tens uf thousands
of our race. To remedy a fearful ovll I hare com-
menced importing Brandy bottling it and selling
it as "Wolfe's Gonulno Cognac Brandy." I am
daily rocelving urdurs from the druggist nnd apo-
thecaries In all parts of tho Union to sell it for mo-
dioal purpose.

It Is now gonorally ooncodod that pinnos wltn
