Goodall-Witcher Hospital Foundation
Benefiting From Junior Volunteer Program
CLIFTON — Now that school is
out, the Goodall-Witcher Hospital
Foundation is benefiting through
the service of 18 young Central
Texap residents who are members
of the Junior Volunteers program
initiated at the hospital for the sum-
mer months.
The volunteers are serving in var-
ious hospital departments such as
the nurses’ stations, pharmacy, the
laboratory, central supply, the front
office, the home health care agen-
cy, and the activities program in
skilled nursing.
Volunteers include Jennifer
Wood, Lora Ticer, Leslie Ticer, and
Jennifer Wood of Meridian; Lisa
Gibson and Jennifer Johansen of
Valley Mills; Heather Patrick, An-
gie Creamer, Lyndi Ash, and Dan-
na Roberts of Cranfills Gap; Pamela
Watson of Hico; and Robyn Bowers,
Deeonna Christian, Lorrie Grum-
bine, Michele Honea, Lora Kelley,
Hollie Lane, and Donna Low of
Clifton.
The volunteer program is under
the direction of Janice Warren of
Waco with Nancy Wood of Meridi-
an as assistant.
Clifton Garden Club Plants Periwinkles
At Park Entrance, Wins 6 State Awards
CLIFTON - The Clifton Garden
Club recently planted periwinkles
at the entrance to the City Park as
a club project for the year. Members
of the projects committee, Hazel
Duncan, Jan Scheuber, and Becky
Yarbrough, participated, along with
Esther Hatsell, chairman, and
Emma Byford, club president.
The club has been notified that it
has won six awards at the State
Convention in Houstin in May: (1)
FARM LOANS: Besom, Burnet,
Coryell, Hamilton, lampatm and
McLennan Counties

President’s Report; (2) Award for
contributing 100 percent to the
President’s Book; (3) Award for

Scholarship Fund; and (6) Contribu-
tion to the Natural Land Trust for
the Wild Basin Wilderness Fund.
The club will resume meetings in
September.
Spring '88 Tarieton
Honor Rolls Announced
STEPHENVILLE - Several
Bosque County students have been
included in the A and B Honor Roll
and Distinguished Student list for
the Spring 1988 semester at Tarie-
ton State University.
Students making the A Honor
Roll must have a 4.0 grade point ra-
tion (GPR) on the 4.0 system and be
taking s minimum of 12 hours. Stu-
dents on the B Honor Roll must
have a GPR between 3.00 and 3.99
with no grade lower than B and tak-
ing a minimum of 12 hours.
Distinguished Students include
freshmen and sophomores who have
a minimum GPR of 3.25 with no
grade lower than C, and juniors and
seniors with a 3.50 minimum GPR
and no grade lower than C and are
in good standing.

CHS Class Of 1958
Sets 30th Reunion
CLIFTON - The Clifton High
School graduating class of 1958 will
have their 30-year reunion on
Saturday, July 2, with a reception
for classmates, friends, and former
teachers.
The reception will be held at First
RepublicBank community room
from 1:30-3 p.m. and former class-
mates and teachers are given a spe-
cial invitation to attend. Anyone
not already contacted is encouraged
to attend the reception.
Classmates can still make reser-
vations for the catered barbecue
dinner later that night by calling
675-8983 after 6 p.m.
Calligraphy Class
Starts Next Week
CLIFTON - The Bosque County
Conservatory of Fine Arts will be
sponsoring a one-week calligraphy
session taught by Mrs. Kathy
Hallmark. The sessions will be held
July 5-8 at the Conservatory
building.
A class is scheduled for ages 12-16
from 10 a.m.-12 noon and a class for
adults will be held from 24 p.m. Fee
for the class is $26 per person with
a 10 percent discount for BCCFA
members.
Supplies are not included in the
fee and may be purchased at the
first session. Persons needing more
information about the clan may
contact the BCCFA office at

Hanson-Fots Reunion
Scheduled July 10
CRANFILLS GAP - The
Hanson-Fosa reunion is scheduled
for Sunday, July 10, at St. Olaf
Lutheran Church, Cranfills Gap,
beginning at 12 noon.
